One: Crop your image to 100x100 and place it so there is space on one of the four sides of your image.
Two: Duplicate your base and set it to Soft Light at 100%
Three: Take this texture - http://pics.livejournal.com/trias360/pic/000067pa by 'colorfilter
Four: Rotate it so the stripes are in the blank area of your image. In my case, I rotated it 90 degrees clockwise.
Five: Paste the texture as a new layer. Set it as Soft Light at 100%. Erase over any parts that are covering the stripes. Like in my case, Vanessa's elbow.
Six: Duplicate your Texture and set it to Darken at 50%.
Seven (for second result): Take this texture - http://pics.livejournal.com/trias360/pic/000078a5 by colorfilter again, and paste it as a new layer. Set it to Soft Light at 100%.

You're done! Thanks for reading. Please comment and show your results!

Argh [

[ mood | annoyed ]

Yeah, I know, I forgot about my LJ but still, I have a problem.
I have this simple layout because, even though I made one that's quite nice, I can't get ANY layouts to work! Not one. It really puzzles me. So, I'll have to tap into that a bit more if I want a custom layout.

Coloring Tut #2 [
December 2
]
This can be for any kind of graphic, a blend, an icon, the possibilities are endless. Now, I did this on PSP 8, but it could easily be translated. Okay!

One;; Get your base opened up. Go to Layers >> Merge >> Merge all (Flatten) if there is any layers.
Two;; Go to Layers >> Duplicate and Go to Layers >> Properties and set the Blend Mode to Screen
Three;; Layers >> New Raster Layer. Set that Blend Mode to Exlusion.
Four;; Set your color to #000032. Fill that Raster 1 with that colour.
Five;; Layers >> New Adjustment Layer >> Color Balance. Set it to about 33-0-0

Done! Here is a snippet of the blend I made with it.
